Hasmukhbhai Patel, 73, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024 from Glioblastoma. Born on June 10, 1951, in a small town in India, Hasmukhbhai was a hard-working man and was devoted to his wife.

Coming to Canada at a young age, Hasmukhbhai was able to open up the first East Indian grocery store in Montreal, and eventually moved to Midland, Ontario; where he owned and operated the Panaroma Motel for 15 years.

Hasmukhbhai is survived by his loving wife, Kokilaben Patel; 3 children, and 7 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on January 26, 2024, from 11am to 1pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.
