Robert C. Higgins

Robert Calvin (Bob) Higgins was born May 22, 1925 to Walter D. and Mildred (Claflin) Higgins. On July 29, 2017 at the age of 92, Robert passed away following a brief illness.

Bob was a 1943 graduate of Holliston High School. He served in the U.S. Army from June 1943 until March 1946. He served with the 280th Engineers Combat Battalion in Europe from October 1944 until March 1946. Bob married Marjorie Fish in Sparta, WI on June 19, 1946. Bob was a member of the 280th Engineers association and had worked at the former Webb Supply in Framingham for 42 years.

Bob is survived by four children, Tom Higgins of Holliston, Jim Higgins and his wife Patty of York Beach, Maine, Gary Higgins and his wife Jane of Osterville, and Susan Higgins MacDonald and her husband Steven of Holliston. Bob and Marge were blessed with 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren with one on the way. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Marge, his brother, Ralph Higgins and grandson, William Higgins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3rd from 4:00-7:00p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral home service will take place on Friday, August 4th at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.
