Ann R. Talbot

Ann R. Talbot, 79, of Holliston, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Elsa (Grocott) and Wallace Robbins. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Talbot who passed away in 2003.

Ann was a Bridgewater State College Alumni and taught for four decades, the majority of them in the Holliston Public School System. She was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. She belonged to two writing groups, two reading groups and was the editor of the local online newspaper, Hollistonreporter.com. She was active in the Holliston Senior Center and with the First Congregational Church of Holliston. Ann loved to teach, write, camp and was beloved by her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Mark H. Talbot and his former wife Donna of West Palm Beach, FL, and Alan R. Talbot and his wife Kimberly of Brandon, FL. She also leaves her siblings, John Grocott, Nancy Grocott, Robert Grocott, Marion Giordano; 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Anna, Joshua, Collin and Julia; well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th from 5-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 11th at 11:00a.m.at the First Congregational Church.
