Franklin and formerly Holliston- He served in World War II followed by service as a Lt. Col. in the Air Force Reserve. He was an educator, graduating from Bradley University and was a history teacher, principal and later a guidance counselor at Niskyuna High School in Schenectady, NY. Bob was an avid sailor, racing Windmills on Saratoga Lake and in waters off Long Island. Upon retiring he undertook building a 39 ft Corbin yacht, sailing for many years with family and friends, aboard the Tara along the eastern seaboard and the Great Lakes. Bob married the love of his life Catherine Dempsey, of NYC, and recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. They have three children; Robert (wife Debbie), Patricia (husband Vint), and Stephen (fianc? Joline), five grandchildren; Erin, Sean, Matt, Caitlin, Stephanie and one great grandchild, Cadence. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Bob’s cousin the Monsignor William Stetson of Los Angeles, at St. Mary’s Church, Holliston Ma on Wednesday, September 25th at 10:30am.
