William Henry Kreinsen, 85, of Groton, CT, passed away after a long struggle with Congestive Heart Failure Complications at Mystic Healthcare & Rehabilitation on June 16, 2014. Born in Brighton, MA, he was the son of the late Henry Edward and Mary Ellen (Hughes) Kreinsen. He was the husband of Martha (McRae) Kreinsen of Groton. Bill grew up in Brighton but spent most of his life in Holliston, MA. 9 years ago, Bill and his wife of 50 years moved to Groton, CT to be closer to their grandchildren. He adored his family and they were the greatest joy in his later life. Bill was a graduate of St. Columbkille’s High School and worked in the Bakery industry until retirement, his last 20 years was with Wonder Bread in Natick, MA. In retirement, William gave many hours to the Holliston Food Pantry. He was active in St. Mary’s Church of Holliston as a lector and in Bible study. He was an avid sports fan, who could recite sports facts with ease. He enjoyed conversation with just about anyone who had time to listen. He will be missed dearly by his friends and Family. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 children, Gregory of Maynard, MA and Margaret (Kreinsen) Henderson of Mystic, CT, Son-in-law, Bob Henderson, and 2 grandchildren, Owen and Elizabeth. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th from 4-7pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00a.m. on Thursday, June 19th at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston.
