Ruth Lorraine Foster

Holliston-
Ruth Lorraine Foster, 85, of Holliston, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Wednesday, August 31, 2011.Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Olive (Mann) Smith. She was the wife of William “Bill” Foster of Holliston to whom she was married for 67 years.

A Holliston resident since 1959, Ruth enjoyed her winters in Florida for over 20 years until 2011 and was a Girl Scout Leader.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, William Foster Jr. and his wife Donna of Blackstone, Stella “Ginger” Balducci and her husband Fred of Barre, MA., and Sharon Hicks and her husband Edward of Holliston. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sisters and their husbands, Shirley Manning and her husband Art, and Joyce Cunningham and her husband Joe.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 from 5-8 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral home service will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
