Richard C. Husselbee

Medway-
Richard C. Husselbee, 88, of Medway, formerly of Holliston and Sherborn, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham after a valiant battle with cancer. Richard was the son of Cyril and Edith (Engstrom) Husselbee and the husband of 60 years of the late Virginia (Warren) Husselbee.

Dick left Watertown High School and enlisted in the Army Air Force in November of 1942 and was discharged in February of 1945. He was a proud member of the 494th Bomb Group, having served as a pilot during the bombing campaigns in the Pacific. Dick was active in the Sherborn Lions Club and was an avid sailor.

He is survived by his daughter Pamela and her husband Russell Sherrill of Medway, his son David and his wife Melanie of Auburn, NY; 5 grandchildren, Amy Chenard, Tiffany Demore, Nathaniel Sherrill, Leif Husselbee and Megan Husselbee, and 4 great-grandchildren.

A memorial Service will be held on May 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Pilgrim Church in Sherborn, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MetroWest HomeCare & Hospice, c/o John Edson 85 Lincoln St., Framingham, MA 01702.
