Eleanor M. Grolimund

Eleanor M. Grolimund, 81, of Holliston, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in North Hampton, MA., she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Sokoloski) Chandler. She was the wife of Ernest Leo Grolimund of Holliston.

Eleanor graduated as a registered nurse from Cooley Dickinson Hospital in North Hampton, MA. Upon graduation, she was the head of a new treatment program at the hospital.

Besides her husband Ernest, she is survived by 1 son, Ernest Lawrence Grolimund and his wife Maria of Waterville, ME.; 2 daughters, Katherine Stuart and her husband Charles of Meredith, NH., Mary Trowbridge and her husband John of Penfield, NY.; 3 brothers, George, Robert and Richard Chandler; 2 sisters, Jean Halloran and Gladys Parras.She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Tara, Matthew, Sara and Jennifer. She is pre-deceased by a son, Allan Grolimund who passed in 1976, as well as her sister, Elizabeth.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 9:00a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston.
