Marguerite L. Wood

Marguerite L. Wood, 84, of Milford and formerly of Hopkinton, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Rose (Pelletier) Howland. She was the wife of the late William A. Wood Sr. who passed away in 1995.

Marguerite married William on May 17, 1952. She worked at Milford Daily News, Dennis & Kybe in Hopkinton and Telechron in Ashland. She enjoyed knitting, puzzles and took pride in the Hop Town Cross Roaders C.B. Club.

She is survived by 3 sons, William Wood of Hopkinton, Frederick Wood of Greig, NY, and Thomas Wood of Milford. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by 4 brothers, Joseph, Robert, Fred, and William Howland and 2 sisters, Rose Berquist and Dorothea Colella.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 5-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A service at the funeral home will take place on Friday at 12:00p.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Hopkinton.
