John Bennett Newbold Jr., 50, of Medway, died Saturday, December 13, 2008. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of John B. Newbold Sr. and Jean (Boggs) Newbold of Medway.

A Medway resident since 1999, he formerly lived in Framingham and Cape Cod. He was a member of the advanced divers and also a member and NASD: National Association of Skin Divers. He enjoyed fishing, animals, gardening and painting with water colors.

Besides his parents, he is survived by 2 sisters, Laura J. Newbold of Brookline, and Susan Elizabeth Portmann and her husband Brian J. of Millis. He also leaves behind 1 niece, 1 nephew, Marco and Nika Garini.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 17, from 6-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 126) www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A Graveside service with Rev. David Fountain will be held on Thursday at 10:00a.m. in Lake Grove Cemetery on Highland St. in Holliston.
