Richard Gerald Dixon

Richard Gerald Dixon, 61, of Sherborn died Monday September 25, 2006 at his home surrounderd by his family. Born at the Newton – Wellesley Hospital, he was the son of the late Clifford and Irene (Sellars) Dixon. He was also the husband of 41 years to Margaret J. (Marino) Dixon of Sherborn.

Growing up in Holliston and attending the Holliston Schools and later Bentley University, he was owner and operator of his own custom home building company, he built many custom homes throughout the area. His most enjoyable occupation was the hay farm where he was happiest when on his John Deere tractor tending to the land. He also enjoyed gardening and especially growing giant pumpkins which were giving to the children for Halloween.

Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter; Lisa George and her husband Mathew of Littleton, MA, and 3 grandchildren; Matty, Hailey and Lexie

Visitation Hours will be on Thursday September 28, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16) Holliston. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. David Fountain of the Holliston Congregational Church. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery of Holliston.
