Hopkinton- Charles S. Kane, 67, of Hopkinton, died Friday, June 29, 2006 at the Metrowest Medical Center of Framingham. Born in Orange, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles B. and Doris (Slade) Kane. He was the husband of Susan (Vachout) Kane of Hopkinton for 36 years. A Hopkinton resident for the past 38 years, he was active with the Boy Scouts, Seniors, and the New England Seafarers Mission. He was a former AMC Member and a longtime employee for Eastern Mountain Sports. He had a passion for the outdoors and photography. Besides his wife, he is survived by 1 son, Jeffrey Kane of Manchester, NH, a daughter, Lisa Soo Kane of Framingham, a brother, John Kane and his wife Carol of Pittsburgh, PA., and 3 step-sisters, Barbara Namon, Carol Malt, and Margaret Holtman.
