HOPKINTON — Karen Jude Karpacz, 40, died Sunday, July 11, 2004.
She was the wife of Peter S. Karpacz.
Born in Queens, N.Y., she was the daughter of Tim and Patricia (Cattenhorn) Dempsey of New York.
Mrs. Karpacz had been a resident of Hopkinton for seven years.
A graduate of Syracuse University, she was a pediatric intensive care nurse, formerly working at New England Medical Center.
A loving mother, Mrs. Karpacz was an avid reader.
Besides her parents and husband, she leaves her daughters, Alyssa and Amanda; and her sisters, Patricia Hansen of South Carolina and Mary Thompson of Rochester, N.Y.
A Mass will be held Thursday, July 15, at 10 a.m., at St. John’s Church in Hopkinton.
Visiting hours are Wednesday, July 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton
