Holliston-

William (“Bill”) Joseph Meehan Jr., 91, a resident of Holliston for sixty-five years, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. Born in Malden, MA, he was the son of the late Rosetta (Jones) and William Joseph Meehan Sr. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie (Gerrity) Meehan for 60 years.

Bill was a Sergeant in the Army, serving during the Korean War. He worked for over 20 years as an accountant for Dennison Manufacturing in Framingham and also for GCA Corp. He was an avid Patriots fan and took pleasure in playing poker, cards, and word games on his iPad.

He is survived by six children, Kenneth Meehan and his wife, Michel of West Yarmouth, MA, James Meehan and his wife, Alicia of Barrington, RI, Roberta Bouchard and her husband, John of Bellingham, MA, Brenda Meehan of South Dennis, MA, Thomas Meehan and his wife, Dorothy of Jaffrey, NH, and Barbara Meehan and her wife, Laurie Ford of Sunderland, MA. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Gregory and Amanda Bouchard, Matthew and Patrick Meehan, Daniel Rogers, Christopher and Nicholas Meehan; one great-grandson, Philipp Strommer, and his cat, Toby. He was predeceased by his son, Paul and his wife, Marie.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston, MA. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Michael Lisnow Respite Center of Hopkinton, MA (https://www.hopkintonrespite.org/).
