Holliston –
William H. Clancy, 74, a lifelong resident of Holliston died on Monday, November 8, 2004 at the Mass General Hospital of Boston. Born in Holliston, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Hamilton) Clancy. He was the husband of 42 years to Lurleen (Scotton) Clancy of Holliston.

A member of Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston, he was also a graduate of Holliston High School class of 1948, Boston College class of 1952, and Boston College Law School class of 1956. William was a founding member of the Boston firm of Burns and Levinson, LLP., a member of the Boston Bar Association, a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Attorneys. He retired from the practice of law in 2000. William served as Holliston Town Moderator for 31 years and the Holliston Town Counsel for 35 years.

Besides his wife Lurleen, he is survived by 5 sons; Kevin W. Clancy and his wife Elizabeth of Holliston, Timothy J. Clancy and wife Karen of Whitinsville, Christopher J. Clancy of South Boston, Patrick M. Clancy of South Boston, and Brian D. Clancy and his wife Torie of Wilton, CT. 2 daughters; Suzanne M. Burke and her husband Daniel of Westford, and Kathleen A. Stodden and her husband David of Westford. 1 sister; Elizabeth Connors of Watertown and 8 grandchildren; Connor, Caroline, Sean, Erin, Aedhan, Caileigh, Thomas, and William.

Visitation hours will be on Friday, November 12, 2004 from 4 to 8 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16) Holliston. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 10:00 am in Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
