Holliston – William E. Stickney, 69, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003 at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham after being stricken at home.
He was the husband of Shirley (Wilson) Stickney. He had been a resident of Holliston since 1970.
Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late William and Grace (Hutchinson) Stickney.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Marines. Mr. Stickney was a member of the Holliston Sportsman’s Association, NRA and G.O.A.L., Telephone Pioneers and AARP. He was a Personal Protection Instructor for the NRA. He was retired from the N.E. Telephone Co.where he had been an engineer.
Besides his wife Mr. Stickney is survived by his son, David and his wife Susan of Milford;daughter, Lynn of Bellingham; brother, Richard of Holliston and four grandchildren, William, John, Jennifer and Haley.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Jan.5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home,854 Washington St., Route 16, Holliston. Followingcremation burial of his ashes will take place in the Bourne National Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
