Virginia “Ginny” Thibault, 75, of Wareham, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of Joan Long of Wareham, and the late David Long.

Ginny loved the beach, music, flowers, squirrels, doves, cardinals and hummingbirds. She took pleasure in taking joyrides. She had a special love for animals and especially enjoyed feeding the birds. In her youth, she enjoyed riding horses. Most importantly, Ginny cherished her family and the time spent with them. She loved her loyal companion and sidekick, her beloved dog, Bear, and her cat, Minnie.

Ginny is survived by her children, Tanya Thibault, and her husband, James Monteiro, of Wareham, Jamie Thibault and his partner, Daniel DaSilva of Smithfield, RI, Jessica Thibault of Bellingham, Lisa Bragdon of Bellingham, and Jeffrey Robertson of Nashua, NH. She also leaves behind her brothers, David Long and his wife, Catherine, of Norfolk and Stephen Long of California; her grandchildren, Jenasys Monteiro, Jaxsyn Monteiro, Jacelynn Medeiros, Adriana Monteiro, and Joseph Medeiros Jr.; as well as her dear friend, Yudy. She is predeceased by two brothers, Peter Long and his wife, Lorraine, and Donald Long.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 11th at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to  New England Wildlife Center https://www.newildlife.org/
