Naples, FL and formerly Holliston-
Vincent P. Culcasi, 74 of Naples, Florida and formerly of Holliston, MA, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2013 surrounded by his family after his courageous thirteen year battle against Parkinson’s Disease.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Joann Culcasi (Early) and four devoted children; Vincent P. Culcasi, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, Patricia M. Tobin of Franklin, MA, Michael J. Culcasi of Medway, MA and Diane M. Miller of Charlestown, RI. He was the hero to seven grandchildren, Vincent, Mathew, Kevin, Joseph, Brian, Hope and Mary Ellen. He was the son of the late Peter and Josephine Culcasi of Natick, MA and the brother of Josephine Sutherland of Natick, MA, Francis Culcasi of Naples, FL and Peter Culcasi of Naples, FL.
After graduating from Natick High School in 1958 and serving in the United States Naval Air Service, he worked as a barber beside his father for a few years and then began his career as a men’s clothing salesman and retired after 37 years.
He was most happy watching his grandchildren participate in their many activities. He was an avid New England sports fan. He made many life-long friends through his participation in sports throughout his life; he especially enjoyed golf, tennis and softball. He loved to work in his garden before moving to his ideal paradise, Naples, FL where he continued to enjoy playing tennis, golf and fishing in the Gulf.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15th from 4-7p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16th at 9:00a.m. in St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Internment will take place at a later date with family.
