Vida A. Simon, 95, f Holliston died Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the Metrowest Medical Center of Framingham. Born at home in Coroapolis, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mary Belle (Kaiser Shaw) and Henry Anderson. She was also the wife of the late Woodrow Clayton Simon.

Always Adoring all of her family, she had been the youngest of 9 children. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she went on to become a Captain and nurse in the Army’s Medical corp. Vida had first went to camp Lee in Virginia and then later Halloran Hospital at Staten Island, NY where she met Woodrow C. Simon as one of her patients and then went on to marry him. She later retired from Glen Rock, NJ as a school nurse after 20 years. After her retirement, she moved to Florida for 23 years and became an avid golfer, getting a total of 3 Hole in one’s. She also loved playing the organ. For the past 11 years she had moved in with her daughter and was a resident of Holliston and enjoyed going to the Holliston Senior Center for lunch.

She is survived by 1 daughter; Patricia S. Weidknecht and her husband Robert Eric Weidknecht of Holliston, 1 granddaughter; Andrea Weidknecht of Holliston and many nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by 7 brothers; Joseph, William, Harry, Jesse, Samuel, Raymond and Roland Anderson, 1 sister; Grace Mohney Charles

Funeral Services will be Private and are under the direction of the Chesmore Funeral Home. Donations in her memory may be made to the Holliston Senior Center 150 Goulding Street, Holliston, MA 01746
