Veramae (Beasley) Wills

March 30, 1919 - February 13, 2016

Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

Mrs. Will's and I became friends in 1997 when we discovered that we had a common faith in Jesus. I was living in CA, but at that time I was still making annual trips back to Boston. I would always take a day to visit her in her apartment on the Commons. We would attend Park St Church together and then go out to lunch. Our conversations were always very lively and we would always end our time together in prayer. She encouraged me to look into Gordon-Conwell for graduate work. Largely because of her influence I attended and graduated. Through the years she continued to be a source of wisdom and encouragement to me. She was not a 'religious' women in any common sense of the word. Instead, she had a profound relationship with Jesus Christ, and more than anything I loved listening of all her stories of His faithfulness to her over the years. This greatly encouraged my faith. Mrs. Will's is now in heaven, enjoying the presence of the Savior she loved so much. He last wish would be that others would know the way to where she is - and that is to be had simply by clinging to Christ for the forgiveness of sins --"By grace you are saved, not of works..." Mr. Wills - enjoy your first few days of eternity...see you soon!

Countless years of wonderful family holiday memories with Mrs/Grammie Wills- She sat and watched, laughed and engaged in countless activities that would go on amongst all the children and grandchildren. She was a love.. RIP sweet sweet lady.

Don, Beth & Ashley, My sincere sympathies in the loss of your mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Memories of Mrs. Wills was her at our family holidays and her always smiling and enjoying everyone around her. Her on-going pursuit of higher education, regardless of her age, was truly admirable! A lovely lady!
