Lowell-

Thomas “Tommy” K. Fitzpatrick, 67, of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Born in Brighton, he was the son of the late Marion (Keenan) and James Richard Fitzpatrick.

Tommy entered the United States Navy after high school where he served until he was honorably discharged in late 1974. He had multiple jobs over the years, including positions at various golf courses and was a certified Tractor Trailer driver at Tighe Trucking for a short time, too.

Originally from Waltham, Tom’s free spirit personality landed him throughout the U.S. granting him brief opportunities to call Cape Cod, Arizona, and Honolulu, Hawaii home.

Tommy will be remembered for his boisterous laugh, his big appetite, and jovial sense of humor. He enjoyed rooting for the Boston sports teams, joking around, and telling animated stories.

Tommy was predeceased by his sister, Gail M. Smith, and brother, James “Jimmy” R. Fitzpatrick Jr. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Ben Smith of Newport, RI, and sister-in-law, Linda Fitzpatrick, of Waltham, MA. He also leaves behind nieces Kerri Smith, Lauren Ellis and her husband Derek, Nicole Fitzpatrick, Erin Mattus and her husband Daniel, and nephews Andrew Smith, and Eric Smith and his wife Kerri.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 4th at Saint Mary’s Church in Holliston. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
