Holliston –

Thomas J. Mahoney Sr. of Holliston, MA passed away with his family by his side on July 16, 2018 at the age of 84. Born July 13, 1934 in Boston, son of Helen and Maurice (Joseph) Mahoney, and beloved husband of Dorothy A. (Cannata) Mahoney, his wife of 62 years.

Tom was a loving father to his five children: Thomas Mahoney Jr., Gary Mahoney, Joseph Mahoney and his wife, Eunice, Janice (Mahoney) Dunne and her husband, James, and Karen (Mahoney) Lyon and her husband, Eric. He also leaves behind seven grandsons: Shane Mahoney, Thomas and Joseph Lyon, Sean and Robert Dunne, and Mathew and Patrick Mahoney.

Tom was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Carling Brewery Company in Natick for over 20 years, and later retired from Aggregate Industries after 27 years as Plant Manager in Holliston. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the American Legion. He will be remembered for his love of family, signature quick wit, unrivaled storytelling ability, and beautiful singing voice. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and summers on Cape Cod.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 from 4-8 p.m.at Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Holliston, MA. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Thursday, July 26th, 2018 at St. Mary’s Parish, 8 Church St., Holliston, MA.
