Today, the book that is my favorite that is like Harry Potter, but not, is A Wrinkle in Time. I love Charles Wallace, Meg and Mrs. Who/What. 🙂 Of cosure if this is one of those questions that requires a current book, I would go with the Percy Jackson books. My students eat those up a la Max from Where the Wild Things Are!

I love SPECTRAL by Shannon Duffy - it's "just like Twilight" because it's YA and paamnorral and there are two boys who are both in love with the main character... AND there's kissing!! Seriously, I love this book! I'm not usually even a fan of paamnorral romances, but this one I've read over-and-over, and it makes me smile every time 🙂

Tommy and I became friends during the 60's. We golfed and skied together and he was Best Man at my wedding. I'm very sad that I let him slip out of my life,and truly sorry for his family's loss.

Tommy was a great basketball player. We won the league championship easily in his senior year. Great fun playing with him.

As kids in the 50's Tommy was kind to me and encouraged me to pursue my interest in basketball. I still remember him talking to me with real sincerity.
