HOLLISTON — Thelma R. French, 81, of Holliston, died Sunday, July 11, 2004, at home surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of Norman C. French, who died in October 1994.
Born in Norwich, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Desrochier) Rogers.
A longtime resident of Holliston, she was an avid bridge player. She loved her family very much. A member of First Congregational Church of Holliston, during her retirement she had lived in Bonita Springs, Fla., and Oxford, N.H.
She leaves a son, Russell W. French and his wife, Beverly, of Cape Coral, Fla.; four daughters, Kathleen F. Cates and her husband, Donald, of Bonita Springs, Norma C. Kittredge and her husband, John, of Holliston, Donna M. Brown and her husband, James, of Holliston, and Teresa E. McGrath and her husband, Mark, of Framingham; 10 grandchildren, Susan, David, Maribeth, Todd, Jennifer, James, Brett, Daniel, Jonathan and Ryan; eight great-grandchildren, Melissa, Tyler, Paige, Rheannon, Jake, Alex, Tori and Jack.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, July 14, at noon, with the Rev. Ernest Batten officiating, at Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. (Rte. 16), Holliston.
Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.
Visiting hours are Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the funeral home.
