My heartfelt condolences to Sylvia's family. She was an extraordinary person and the residents of the Town of Holliston are fortunate for all that was accomplished in town due to the kindness and commitment shown by Bill and Sylvia Stickney.

Mrs. Stickney (who insisted I call her Sylvia, but I just couldn't!) was the one of the kindest, sweetest and most thoughtful person I've ever met. During one particularly difficult time I was experiencing during my time in Holliston, Mrs. Stickney just showed up at my office with a plate full of the most delicious, still-warm chocolate chip cookies, because she "thought I could use them." I will never forget her kindness, grace and honesty (she would never shy away from telling me, politely of course, that she thought a particular decision I had made wasn't my finest hour!). Rest in Peace, Mrs. Stickney. With deepest sympathies to the family, Brad Jackson Superintendent of Schools 2004-2020

A true lady in every sense of the word! She gave so much to so many and will be missed by all of us! My sincere condolences to Susan, Tom and Derek. But we all know she is now going to be with the love of her life, Bill.
