To The Lukey Family, I am very sorry for your loss. Sue leaves a pair of empty boots by the door! I was a young girl, when I first met Sue and her horse Misty. We'd run into Sue and Misty and a group of her neighborhood kids and their horses on the trails. Sue and Misty were kind of a phenomenon, as she wasn't the easiest horse to ride and Sue hung in there with her. Sometimes, well most of the time, Misty would be doing circles and Sue would ride her through it and always have a smile on her face., even though Misty could be difficult, those two had a bond. The horse shows and everything Sue did for 4-H, is amazing. The MA 4-H Horse program would not be what it is today, if Sue hadn't been so actively involved for all those years. And, not only Sue- her family too. Skip was the trailer driver, her farm man and always helped, her sister-in-law, Debbie, back in the day, was always riding and helping out. Melissa was born to be in a saddle, with Sue as her Mom. I remember Sue would ride up to my Mom's tack shop if she needed anything. When my daughter was young, we'd go and say hi to Sue and Skip at the Horribles Parade every year, and she always took some time to visit with us. Sue- Happy Trails! I'm sure you and Pat are reunited with your horses and are galloping through the trails in Heaven.

Dear Skip, Melissa, Andrew ,Brittney and Peter, I am so sad by this terrible news. I think of her often and remember what a nice kind person she was. She was very fortunate to have so many people that loved her in her life. God Bless you all. Sue will always be in my prayers. Terry

Dear Lukey Family, I am so sorry to hear about Sue’s passing. I have so many great memories of being in her Woodville 4H group during it’s first few years. She encouraged me to learn to ride and to take the horses (thanks Debbie!) into a few 4H shows. She was a great “horse teacher” , knowing how hard to push while still giving lots of encouragement and confidence. Great memories that have stayed with me for a lifetime. I hope your memories of Sue will help you heal. Much love, Maureen (Walsh) Wright
