HOLLISTON — Susan M. Bonfatti, 36, of Holliston, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, after a long battle with cancer.

She was the wife of T. Andrew Bonfatti for 12 years.

Born in Hartford, Conn., she was the daughter of Marguerite (White) Mahony of Windsor, Conn., and the late Gerald Mahony. Raised in Windsor, she spent summers in North Falmouth and had lived in Allston and Dedham prior to moving to Holliston in 1996.

Mrs. Bonfatti was a graduate of Windsor High School and a 1989 graduate of Regis College. She had been a paralegal before becoming a full-time homemaker. She was active with the MetroWest Down Syndrome Conference.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting, reading, and Cosmopolitans on the beach.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Dominic M. and Samuel P. Bonfatti of Holliston; two sisters, Ellen A. Mahony of Boston and Sheila M. Smith of Windsor, and a brother, Gerald F. Mahony Jr. of Waban; aunts and uncles, Catherine White, George White, Ann MacCrellish and Merritt Mahony; nieces, Jaana, Katie, Katia, Simonne, Alexandra, Lia, and Michela, and nephews, Nicholas, Dante, Zachary, and Tyler; and many cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Church, Washington Street, Holliston.

Visiting hours will be held today, from 3 to 8 p.m., at the Chesmore Funeral Home (www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com), 854 Washington St. (Rte. 16), Holliston.
