Holliston-

Stanley Daniels Olmstead, 92, of Holliston, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Gertrude (Annettes) and Ernest Daniels Olmstead. He was the husband of Dorothy E. (Mears) Olmstead who passed in 2001.

A WWII Veteran, Stanley was a Technical Sergeant in the 1384th Army Air Force Unit. He attended Babson College of Finance and was the owner of Olmstead Insurance Agency. Stanley was a member of the VFW, Odd Fellows, Masons, and was the commissioner for the Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.

He is survived by his children, Sandra L. Olmstead of Marlborough, Edward S. Olmstead and his wife Lou Peugh of Florence, MA., and Richard D. Olmstead and his wife Marie of Keene, NH. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Sheryl Hawkins, Michelle Brown, Kimberley Olmstead-Morris, Juliana and Alice Olmstead; as well as 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 10:30a.m.-12:30p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A 1:00p.m. service will follow visitation in the funeral home.
