Shantilal Shah, aged 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 16, 1933, in Madodhar, Baroda, India, he lived a life defined by kindness, wisdom, and dedication to his loved ones and community.
He was the youngest of five brothers and four sisters, and together they witnessed the freedom movement of India in his early years.
Shantilal graduated with a Master of Science in 1954. Throughout his life, he was deeply respected for his contributions to the community as a Professor and later as the Principal of Rang Avdhoot Vidhyalay/School for nearly 16 years. His legacy is one of hard work, compassion, and a deep love for family.
Even in his 60s, Shantilal remained ambitious and moved to Pittsfield, United States, in 1995. His hard work, dedication, and discipline served as an inspiration to his entire family.
Shantilal was a devoted family man, cherishing every moment with his three sons, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was known for his warmth and unyielding optimism, which inspired all who knew him. He was an extremely spiritual person and a dedicated devotee of Rang Avdhoot Maharaj (guru). He died on the day of his guru’s birth showing an exemplary connection to his soul spirit. He was also actively involved in charity work, generously contributing his time and resources to help those in need.
