Salvatore Meli, 88, of Milford and formerly a longtime resident of East Boston, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Born in Sicily, Italy, he was the son of the late Maria (Agro) and Carmelo Meli.

Salvatore worked at Polaroid in Waltham for 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Italian Club in East Boston. Sal loved nightlife. He especially loved Latin dancing and earned many trophies for his performances. He took pleasure in traveling all over the world, including Europe and Asia.

Sal is survived by his sister, Maria Paste (Dan Norton Sr.) of Holliston; his niece, Lisa Hardiman (Dan Norton); nephews, Kenneth Morrissey (Kristen) and David Salerno; great-nephews, Patrick Hardiman, Jake Mackie-Morrissey, and Kenneth Morrisey Jr. (Emily). He is predeceased by his sister, Sandra Salerno, and his brother-in-law, Pat Paste, Maria’s husband who passed in 2006.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.  A prayer service will be said at 3:00. Interment will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, arthritis.org

A Mass in Salvatore’s name will be said on Sunday, March 19th at 11:30 AM at Saint Mary’s Church in Holliston.
