Holliston – Ruth J. Coleman, 72, died Oct. 10, 2003 at Wayside Hospice in Wayland
following a long illness.
She was the wife of Paul Coleman.
Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary Rose (Arsenault)
Grant..
Mrs. Coleman retired in 1986 from the New England Telephone Co. where she had
worked for 25 years as an operator. She was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of
America .
Beside her husband she is survived by her son; Edward Newman and his wife Sandra of
East Douglas, step-daughters; Diane Coleman of Milford and Joanne Jones and her
husband Allan of Sturbridge, a brother; Roger A. Grant and his companion Sandra Gerber
of Clearwater, FL, grandchildren; Joy Newman of Milford, Jennifer Newman of
Dartmouth, MA, Lindsay, Allison and William Jones of Sturbridge and a great grand child;
Leo Newnan.
She was the sister of the late Harvey Grant Jr. and Norma Ectman.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church,
High St., Holliston. The Rev. Ernest Batton will officiate. Burial will follow in Edgell
Grove Cemetery, Framingham.
Calling hours will be Monday at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route
16 , Holliston from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
