WOODVILLE — Ruth I. (Braley) Ward, 96, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at the Willows in Westborough.

She was the wife of William M. Ward, who died in 1983.

Born in Westborough, she attended Perkins School for the Blind. She had been a longtime resident of Woodville and for many years had been active in the Woodville Baptist Church. She had been a member of the Hopkinton Historical Society for many years and had served as its curator.

She leaves her daughters, Barbara A. Hjulstrom of Millbury, Charlotte E. Holbrook of North Grafton and Nancy L. Kingston of Lancaster, N.H.; a son, Charles W. Ward of Westborough; a sister, Avis E. Braley of Woodville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 10, at 10 a.m., at the Woodville Baptist Church, 249 Wood St., Woodville, with the Rev. Mark High officiating.

Burial in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Woodville, will be private.
