Holliston-

Ruth (Garland) Eames, 81, of Holliston, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Marion (Brown) Garland. She was the wife of Weston Warren Eames of Holliston.

A graduate of Henniker High School in New Hampshire, and the University of N.H., she was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in Boston for several years. She was a member and past treasurer of the Holliston Women’s Club, as well as an active member of the First Congregational Church of Holliston and served on many committees. She was a member of the Mary Wells Fellowship and was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for several years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters, Nancy Conley and her husband Michael of Ashland, Cynthia Conley and her husband Kevin of Andover, a sister, Joyce Johnstone and her husband Richard of Peabody, a cousin, Christine Trow of Hollis, N.H. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jenna, Shannon, Joseph, Christina, John and James as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 8, 2009 from 2-5p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated in Monday at 11:00a.m. at the Congregational Church in Holliston.
