Hopkinton – Ruth (Dunn) Eiss, 88, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004 at the Wingate Nursing Home in Sudbury.
She was the wife of the late George Eiss who died in 1972.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Nina (Duncan) Dunn. She had been a resident of Hopkinton for more than 30 years.
Mrs. Eiss served with the U. S. Coast Guard, had been an accountant and was the owner of Eiss House Ceramics of Hopkinton. She was a member of the New England Ceramic League.
She is survived by her step-children, Douglas Eiss of Hawaii, Susan Pariseau and her husband Michael of Atkinson, NH, brothers, Oliver Dunn and his wife Ruth of NJ, Donald Dunn and his wife Hilda of NY, Clinton Dunn of Delaware, sisters, Muriel Lipham and her husband Harvey of ME and Edith Carnes of NJ, grandchildren, Dale Pariseau and Wendy Duby and great grandchildren, Kyle and Hannah Duby.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 14, 2004 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Church St., Hopkinton. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Woodville.
A calling hour will be held from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton, MA
