Hopedale-

Russell J. Hanzarak, 48, of Hopedale, died January 6 in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Walter P. Hanzarak, who passed away in 1999, and the late Theresa R. (Shemeth) Hanzarak, who passed away in 2004.

He was an over the road truck driver for KWL Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia A. (Clark) Hanzarak of Hopedale. A daughter, Valarie of Hopedale, 2 sons, Jason Morgen of Worcester, and Walter Morgen of Oxford. 2 brothers, Stephan A. and Daniel W. Hanzarak, of Worcester, 3 sisters, Karen L. Gervais, Christine A. Smith, and Anna M. Hanzarak-Ford all of Worcester, a granddaughter, Mikayla of Hopedale. He also leaves 7 nephews, 2 great-nephews, 1 great-niece, and many extended family and friends.

Visitation hours will be on Thursday, January 12th from 4-8pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. Funeral Service will take place on Friday at 10:00a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Hopkinton. Burial will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery, in Hopkinton. Donations may be made to any local American Legion Post.
