Ruby Helen Cawthorn Hixson, 79, of Framingham and formerly of Ohio and Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016. Born in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Corene Stiltz and Daniel Tilford Cawthorn. She was the wife of Lucian Hixson who passed away in 2014.

Ruby was a member of the Eastern Star. She took pleasure in spending time with her daughter, son in law and her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, playing bingo and was a talented seamstress. Ruby was always kind to others and was a good friend and loved by many.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hixson Kingston and her husband Barry of Holliston, her siblings, Harle Cawthorn of Indiana and Ocie McConnell of Texas; 2 grandchildren, Nathaniel and Emily Kingston as well as her beloved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Howard Cawthorn and Evelyn.
