Natick – Roy A. Gay, 92, died Saturday, May 22, 2004 at the Beth Isreal Hospital in Boston.
He was the husband of Florence (Dowe) Gay who died in 1998. They had been married for 52 years.
Mr. Gay was retired from the railroad where he had been a gate-keeper for many years.
He built his own home in Natick in 1952, continuing to live there until his death. His hobbies included fishing, local traveling, watching television and doing things with his family.
He is survived by his son, Ernest E. Gay of Natick; daughters, Janet Kleya of Uxbridge and Alice Morrow of Waldoboro, Maine; grandchildren, Bill Morrow of Framingham, Janet Havu of Millbury, Terri Amstrong of Woonsocket, RI and Linda Morrow of Waldoboro, Maine.
The funeral will be held Thursday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton, MA Burial will be private.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
