Hopkinton
Rose M. Leveille, 78, of Hopkinton died Sunday August 20, 2006 at the
Metrowest Medical Center of Framingham. Born in Framingham, she was the
daughter of the late Peter and Concepcion (Morales) Martin. She had also been the wife to Raymond Leveille who had died in September of 1982.
Rose was a lifelong resident of Hopkinton, valedictorian of the Hopkinton High School class of 1946, a member of the Hopkinton Historic
Commission, Hopkinton Historic District Committee, a Librarian and Library Trustee at the Hopkinton Library. Rose was a very active member of St. John’s Parish. She was Eucharistic Minister and CCD Coordinator for many years. Rose also had the honor of being Grand Marshall for the Horrible’s Day parade. She was host to many runners of the Boston Marathon. Her home became the “Maine House” for the Maine runners. She volunteered for the Boston Marathon. She also hosted foreign exchange students.
Rose had many hobbies. She loved to paint, draw and do crafts. She enjoyed working in her garden. Rose loved to travel. One of Rose’s goals was to visit each one of the 50 states. She came very close to accomplishing this goal. Along with trips to Europe, Hawaii and the South Seas Rose had the opportunity to visit and spend time with her relatives in Cuba and the Canary Islands. The most important thing in Rose’s life was her family. She was happiest when she was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Rose lived a full and rewarding life.
She is survived by 2 sons; Michael P. Leveille and his wife Laura of
Hopkinton, Chip Leveille and his wife Maria of Upton, 2 Daughters; Denise M. Kimball and her husband Curt of Hermon, Maine, Dolores M.Dumas and her husband Robert of Dartmouth, 1 brother; Joseph Martin and his wife Jeanne of Hopkinton, 4 sisters; Marie Martin, Helen Paul and her husband Joe all of Westborough, Anne Marcy, and Sandra Brennan and her husband Jim all of Woodville, 9 grandchildren; Michael, Danielle, Jeffrey, Denise, Andrea, Michelle, Natasha, Nichole and Zachary. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and is predeceased by 3 brothers; Peter,Robert and Harry Martin.
Visitation will be on Wednesday August 23, 2006 from 5 to 8 pm at the
Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
A funeral mass will be on Thursday August 24,2006 at Saint John’s Church of Hopkinton at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham. Donations in her memory may be made to the Friends of the Seniors, 18 Main St., Hopkinton, MA 01748.
