Holliston-
Rolin Wesley Steinbrecher, 75, of Holliston, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014. Born in Kansas, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Heer) and William Steinbrecher. He was the husband of Grace (Rutt) Steinbrecher of Holliston.

A respected resident of Holliston since 1968, Rolin retired from Zenith in Billerica, where he was a Principal Engineer. He was a member of the Faith Community Church in Hopkinton and he enjoyed volunteering for many organizations; Meals on Wings for the church, providing food for sick individuals and their families; Scoutmaster or Committee Chair of Troop 14 in Holliston for more than 10 years where he positively influenced the lives of more than 200 young men; electrically rewired areas of the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Haiti. He also worked at the Holliston Food Pantry, through which he was asked to do many things in the community, including transporting items needed for the tornado recovery around Massachusetts. He also worked 2 summers at a Navajo Reservation, helping with the building of a school and a hospital.

Besides his wife, he is survived by 8 children, Cheryl Steinbrecher Varney and her husband David of Upton, Lisa Steinbrecher Sharkey and her husband Phillip of Sudbury, Richard W. Steinbrecher and his wife Susan of Shrewsbury, Leslie M. Steinbrecher and his wife Carmen of Cranston, RI, Robert W. Steinbrecher and his wife Rev. Carol Steinbrecher of Wrentham, Christopher W. Steinbrecher and his wife Jennifer of Nottingham, PA, Randall W. Steinbrecher of Atlanta, GA and Michael D. Steinbrecher and his wife Anne Majocha of Marlborough, CT. He also leaves behind a sister, Lois Steinbrecher Kauffman of Mechanicsburg, PA and 17 grandchildren. He is predeceased by a brother, Dr. LeRoy M.H. Steinbrecher.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15th from 4-7p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral service will take place at 11:00a.m.on Thursday at the Faith Community Church in Hopkinton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, or Holliston Pantry Shelf, 23 Water St. Holliston, MA 01746
