Ashland-
Roberta A. Luongo, 67, of Ashland, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 8, 2008 following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late George and Helen Klocke. She was the wife of the late Joseph B. Luongo who died in 1996.

A lifelong Ashland resident, she loved singing through Sweet Adelines and Barber Shop Choirs. She was an avid choir member for St. Cecilia’s Church in Ashland.

She formerly worked for Raytheon and Prime Computer and most recently worked for A.C. Moore where she enjoyed a job of crafts and knitting, which she loved and was extremely talented in.

She is survived by 2 sons, Robert J. Luongo and his wife Christina and their children, Angelina and Anthony of Hudson, Steven Luongo and his wife Jamie and their daughter Cayla of Framingham, and 1 daughter, Julie (Luongo) Saletnik and her husband Brett and their children, Nicholas and Karina of Bellingham. She also leaves behind 2 sisters, Kathleen Klocke of Ashland with whom she shared a home with, Virginia and her husband Alfred Chameroy of East Harford, CT., as well as many nieces and nephews and her closest friend Dorothy Bethge of Ashland.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 126). A memorial mass will take place on Monday, June 16 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Cecilia’s church in Ashland. Burial of her cremains will follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.
