Holliston-

Robert Steven Handy, 84, of Holliston, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018. Born in Waltham, he was the son of the late Helen (Richie) and Charles Ernest Handy. He was the husband of 60 years to Eleanor (Wilson)  Handy of Holliston.

A 1953 graduate of Holliston High School, Robert joined the Army and served during the Korean War era from 1954-1956. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Local 275 of Newton for 50 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, John Handy of Nashua, NH, Laura Bovenzi of Holliston; his siblings, Paul Handy of Framingham, Philip Handy of Rockland, and Nancy Wason of North Attleboro. He also leaves behind his grandson, Matthew Bovenzi, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two siblings, Charles Richard and Dorothy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27th from 10:00-11:00 a.m.at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral service will follow visitation in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston.
