Holliston-

Robert P. Morse Sr., 77, of Holliston passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 2, 2017; survived by his best friend and wife of 51 years Patricia (Bliss) Morse of Holliston. Bob is the son of the late Evelyn (Galligan) and Warren Morse of Holliston.

A lifelong resident of Holliston, following his graduation from Holliston High School, Bob served and protected the great town of Holliston as a police officer for 33 years. Bob was also a Deputy Tax Collector for 20 years, serving several surrounding towns. Bob was a kind man and always had a nice word to say of others, always finding the best in everyone. He loved to tell jokes and making others laugh. He lived life to the fullest and loved his family deeply. Bob enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling, boating and antique cars, and deriving much pleasure from his barn, wide assortment of tools and as a collector of antique lamps.

Besides his wife, Bob is survived by his four children whom he loved dearly and was so proud to be a father to: Susan De La Rosa of Franklin, Kathleen Williams and her Husband Brian of Oxford, Sharon Stournaras and her husband John of Framingham and Robert P. Morse Jr. and his wife Johanna of Framingham. He also leaves behind five siblings, Richard Morse of Maine, Edward Morse of Florida, Bill Morse of Milford, Joan Morse of Hawaii and Phyllis Ladas of Ashland; and 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Morgante and her husband Lenny, Jacqueline De La Rosa, Heather, Michelle and Stephanie Williams, Nicholas, Christopher, Michael and Alexis Stournaras and Jacob, Benjamin and Lilliana Morse; 2 great-grandchildren, Mason and Damon Morgante.

Visitation to be held on Monday May 8th from 5:00 – 8:00p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.Chesmore FuneralHome.com. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 9th at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, 401 Park Dr. Ste. 602, Boston, MA 02215 or childrenshospital.org.
