Holliston-

Robert Lawrence Pond, 70, of Holliston, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Esther (Yeager) and Walter Pond.

Robert was a bus mechanic for 40 years at Ed and Al’s in Ashland. He was also a member of the American Legion in Ashland.

He is survived by his girlfriend of 37 years, Sandy Lawrence of Holliston, as well as his siblings, Francis E. Pond and his wife Shirley of Upton and Ellen Yetman and her husband Dick of Natick. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is predeceased by two brothers, Walter E. Pond and Charles R. Pond.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th from 5-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 16th at 11:00a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston.
