Hopkinton-

Robert H. Anderson, 60, of Hopkinton, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Agnes (Welch) and Waldo Anderson. He was the husband of 39 years to Dianne (Marshall) Anderson of Hopkinton.

Robert was a 1970 graduate of Framingham South High and attended Bryant College. He was formerly employed by Metrowest News and has worked at Tufts Health Plan as an IS Production Services Manager for 19 years. Robert was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed spending time in Maine, time spent with friends and family, cooking, traveling, hunting and fishing trips and was handy with tools, creating pens and whistles, which he donated to womens’ crisis centers.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Richard Anderson of Hopkinton; a brother, William Anderson and his sister- in- law Ann Ladof of Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Margaret Anderson of Florida; father-in-law, Larry Marshall, and brothers-in-law, Dennis Marshall and his wife Joan and Michael Marshall and his wife Linda. He also leaves behind his nieces, nephews and their families as well as his pets, Bonnie and Clyde. He is predeceased by a brother, Ralph Anderson and his pets, Pat and Sootie. Special thanks to the staff at Metrowest Medical Center and Radiation Department, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Charles River Oncology, and Metrowest Homecare and Hospice.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 9-10a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A 10:00a.m. funeral home service will take place following visitation.
