Holliston-

Robert Douglas Hamm, 81, of Holliston, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016. Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Irene (Fancy) and Frank Hamm. He was the husband of 58 years to Christine (Finn) Hamm of Holliston.

A graduate of Northeastern University, Robert was an aerospace engineer for Raytheon Co. for 35 years. He was an active volunteer at the Holliston Senior Center and a former COA president. He was also a member of the Holliston Lion’s Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his five children, Susan I.Velilla and her husband Martin, Catherine M. McLaughlin and her husband Ronald, James F. Hamm, Richard J. Hamm and his wife Julie, and Charles E. Hamm and his wife Susan. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, Christine Velilla, Brian, John and Lauren Hamm, Cameron, Jack and Meghan McLaughlin, and Parker and Logan Hamm; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, William Hamm.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14th from 4-7p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston on Friday, January 15th at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery.
