Medway – Robert Chandler Terhune, 83, died Sept. 9, 2003 at the MetroWest
Medical Center Natick Campus.
He was the husband of Elizabeth Terhune, they had been married for 63 years.
Born in New York, he was the son of the late Thomas Chandler and Fanny
(Banks) Terhune.
He was a graduate of R.P.I. in Troy, NY and had been a resident of Medway
since 1953.
Mr. Terhune had served as Lt. Col. in the U.S. Army, was a member of the
Medway VFW Post 1526, he was a long time member of the Franklin Country
Club.
Beside his wife he is survived by his daughter, Barbara Pond and her husband
Rick of Bellingham, his son-in-law Norman Gallagher of Holliston, brother,
Stanley Terhune and his wife Carolyn of New Port, NH; sister, Dorris Selleck
of Hopewell Junction, NY; and grandchildren, Bonnie Bain Terkelsen and her
husband James of Marstons Mills and Allan C. Bain and his wife Heidi of
Medway. He was the father of the late Bonnie C. Gallagher.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 12 at 11:00 a.m. at ST. Michael’s
Church, Highland St., Holliston. The Rev. Christine Whittaker will
officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Medway.
Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16,

p.m.
