Robert Boyd Nobles of Holliston, died Thursday October 14 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Lillian J. (McKellar) who died in 2001. He is survived by his children Marion Brockert Nobles of Natick, Fred Nobles and his wife Cindy of Middleboro, Carol Grann and her husband Barry of Ashland, and Linda Lannin and her husband John of Mason, NH. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jason and Justin Brockert, Scott and Carrie Nobles, Robert and Matthew Grann, Ross and Katie Lannin and his great-granddaughter Pearl Brockert along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Robert was born in Shannon, New Brunswick, Canada and maintained lifelong ties with famiy, friends, and the countryside in that region. He moved to Holliston at the age of 5. Robert was a World War II Army veteran and served overseas where he met and married the love of his life, Lillian, his wife of 55 years. He was a graduate of Vesper George Art Academy. Robert had been a long-time employee of Valpey-Fisher Corporation in Hopkinton.
Family meant everthing to Robert and his love was uncondidtional.
Visiting hours are Wednesday, October 20 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington Street, Holliston.
Burial will take place at Bayview Cemetery in Hatfield Point, NB on Saturday, October 23.
