Dr. Robert Arthur “Art” Winters, 79, of Holliston passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021.  He was born in Caldwell, New Jersey on January 31, 1942 and was the loving husband of 56 years to Judith (Miller) Winters of Holliston.

Art graduated from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School and Rutgers University in New Jersey and received his PhD from SUNY Buffalo. He became a Professor of Counseling Psychology at Suffolk University, where he taught for 33 years. Besides teaching, he kept a lawn care business for over 40 years. Art was a passionate baseball card collector and fan. His favorite memory was being at Fenway with his family watching the Red Sox win the 2013 World Series. On the family side, he adored his grandchildren. He was devoutly involved with their sports and activities and made countless memories with each of them. In addition, one of his favorite activities was taking his late grand-dog Maverick for a walk.

In addition to his wife, Art is survived by his three children, Lora Lee Winters Hunt and her husband, James of New Hampshire, Rollyn Sean Winters and Kenneth Brett Winters both of Holliston. He also leaves behind three siblings, Rollyn Oakley Winters and his wife, Kathleen of Virginia, Ellen Winters Bellamente and her husband, Richard of New Jersey, and Richard Roat Winters and his wife, Elsie of Maryland; and his three grandchildren, Corey, Shane and Kelly Hunt; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
