Robert Alfred Hedberg, 94, of Worcester, MA and formerly of Holliston, MA died peacefully of natural causes on April 26, 2014. A 1937 graduate of Framingham High School, Robert also attended Wentworth Institute in Boston. He was a World War II veteran with the 82nd Airborne Division and an ex-POW. Robert was the owner of a construction business and later employed with Carlton Aluminum in Framingham. He was an avid outdoorsman with a camp in Wesley, ME where he spent many years hunting and enjoying the fellowship of good friends.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeanne Hedberg of Millbury, MA; his son Ernest Hedberg and his wife Lisa of Cherryfield, ME; his daughter Margaret Francis and her husband James of Millbury; a brother Ernest Hedberg of St. Petersburg, FL.; and 7 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Richard, and his sisters Edith Coughlin, Esther Symmes, and Florence Anderson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, from 4-7 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16). Burial services will be private.
