To Dick’s Family, I was befriended by your Father in recent years by virtue of playing pool in the Senior Center League and in other similar occasions. He was kind and welcoming whenever I was in his presence. He was a fierce pool adversary, but always had time to offer helpful suggestions for playing the shots better. I feel fortunate to have known him. I am sorry I am unable to express my condolences in person, but know that I send my sincere sympathies. Warmly, Athan Savas Northborough (now Marlborough)
